How the calculator works
Each range is built from dated public figures: low is the cheapest figure found, mid the midpoint of mid-range advertised prices (or the single mid-range figure found), high the top of premium prices. Simple weddings use low, standard mid, grand high. Advertised prices are what businesses list publicly, not quotes, and no business is recommended.
Food is counted per head for each function, hall charges, décor and photography per function, bridal makeup for the baraat and walima, henna for the mehndi, and dress, sherwani, cards and cars once for the wedding. See the full tables in the cost guides by city.
Questions
How much does food cost per head at a Pakistani wedding?
Our sources put hall menus at about Rs 1,200 a head at the low end, Rs 2,600 in the middle and Rs 4,500 for premium menus nationally, checked 2026-11-04. Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi use their own local figures.
Is tax added to the hall bill?
Yes. Hall bills carry 10% withholding tax (FBR, section 236CB). The calculator adds it to the venue and food of every function.
How is jewellery counted?
You enter how many tola of gold you plan to buy; the calculator multiplies by the gold rate (default Rs 426,036 a tola, reported 2026-11-04). Type today’s rate for an exact figure.
Are these quotes?
No. They are estimates built from dated public figures. Type your own quote for any item and it replaces the estimate.
